COVID Exclusion & Return Criteria Chart
Dear families,
2022 is underway and we are responding to all rules and regulations that directly deal with COVID-19. Over the past few weeks, more than half of our classrooms have closed due to positive COVID cases of children and staff. We recognize that this has been a hardship on all of you. Please be patient and supportive of each other during these next few weeks. Our Izzi staff have been doing a fabulous job of keeping our doors open during the pandemic. Izzi still remains a safe place.
Our highest priority continues to be the health and safety of our students, families and staff. The 10-day classroom closure is aligned with the CDC and San Mateo County Health Department guidelines. To this end, we are putting additional health and safety measures in place to ensure students and staff are safe and that our schools can continue to be open.
Izzi’s Safety Protocols:
Children must continue to wear masks at all times. We encourage wearing three-ply masks. We will provide a mask if your child does not have one.
All classrooms have air filtration systems equipped with HEPA filters on at all times and windows will remain open to enhance ventilation. Weather permitting, children will spend more time outside.
We will continue to enforce ongoing hand-washing and our daily wipe down on all high touch point surfaces in the classrooms.
Children and staff with any symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home and get tested.
Weekly Testing of Izzi teachers and staff
We know adapting and adjusting to this potential threat comes with so much sacrifice. We are all doing our best in being flexible to the requirements for Early Education, following these procedures in order to serve our students and families.
